Recently a Sterilization Campaign was done on the Company Main Offices. The campaign was done in cooperation between the committee assigned to take the Covid-19 precautionary measures and the Transportation & Services Department. The campaign was supervised by the acting committee chairman and HSE superintendent to safe and protect the company employees.
At the KG Main Offices, technical meeting was held between the NOR and its partners to revise the projects financed from the extraordinary and normal budget for the year 2020-2021 with the technical departments of the KG in attendance of Engineering, Major Projects, Planning, Drilling and Workover, Operations, Finance and ICT Departments.
The meeting was held by video conference taking into consideration the precautionary measures against Covid-19 virus between the NOR and its partners, Inspection and Assessment of NOR, Engineering Constructions Company of NOR and Engineering Technology Company.
The company activity in field of HSE and precautionary measures taken against Covid-19 at the oilfields and sites were offered, taking into consideration the safety standards which are considered by NOR as a priority.
Within the precautionary measures taken by the Medical Section against the Covid 19, Dr. Mohammed Alsaed the Medical section Superintendent informed that many urgent precautions were taken at the company sites as hand sterilizers were distributes to all the Dubai offices, and masks are now available to be used if necessary, working to provide more sterilizing equipment.
Oilfields superintendents were urged to prepare aquariums for any necessity in future. Clinics have arranged for some advising lectures to face such Virus.
Dr. Alsaed added that all employees informed to stay two weeks at home in case of back from travel. Medical Section in cooperation with HSE Department and in coordination with National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) is preparing to start educating lectures covering all the employees.
It is rather to mention that medical section of sector companies have met to discuss and study any updates or measures in this regard.
With official invitation from NOR, ICT of KG participated in a Workshop organized by Aljaber Company for Oil Technologies in its registered office in Ajman. The Workshop was about (GIS Usage in Telecommunication and Exploration), in attendance of many of the sector companies and ICT key persons of the NOR participated by conference headed by Eng. (Samer Awadi) the Engineering and Communications Superintendent, in addition to a phone call from Mr. (J. Karman) the ICT Manager of NOR.
All participant emphasized on the necessity of the GIS and integrating the communications systems among the Oil and Gas sector company.
NOR Communications and Engineering Superintendent praised on the efforts of KG in the data sharing and supporting he data base including all the technical departments.
It rather to mention that many geological survey operations were done by locals in cooperation between Drilling and Workover Department of KG and Aljaber Company to provide the updated technologies to all the company sites.
Attendants emphasized on the importance of technology in the oil and gas explorative operations with creating and updating new styles to improve the local manpower.
Within the keenness of a committee with the acceleration of daily incidents witnessed by the world due to the spread of corona virus or known as covid19 the administration and its emphasis on the safety and health of workers to take all necessary preventive measures held on Monday, April 6, 2020 at the headquarters of the National Center for Disease Control a meeting that included both: Dr. Anas Alzahraoui General Director The Center for Disease Control, Mr. Salim Tabba, Acting Director of the Health and Safety Department and Dr. Jonathan Miller , Medical Section Observer and a representative of the media section.
The Director of the Health and Safety Department started his talk about the work plan taken by the company in the various fields, the terminal and the branch of the company in Dubai and Ajman, as well as how to deal with foreigners coming from their countries, and it is possible to coordinate in order to assign a work team from the National Center to give awareness lectures to users and on his part reviewed the general manager The National Center The technical role that the center plays in these circumstances of raising awareness and education for many parties, including the National Oil Corporation and some of the sector companies, has expressed the willingness of the National Center to provide any advice that would contribute to raising awareness of all segments of society.
Dr. Alzahraoui also gave many advice that the Health and Safety Department and the medical department should take, and the precautionary steps that must be taken in such circumstances.
On the same level, the representative of the Media Section said that it is necessary to speed up the allocation of a scientific day to accommodate the largest number of employees , including educational lectures and mini-workshops to raise the level of health awareness among employees through posters and brochures.
The medical department observer also talked about the urgent measures taken by the department, as masks and sterilizers were provided for the hands, and a place could be allocated for sanitary isolation in some fields. On his part, asked how to use the services of the center if necessary.
